Flashy Czech

Uses

A general purpose nymph that is also an excellent imitation of spotted caddis larvae and scuds. For some background on this pattern, see the article Tinsel--It's not Just for Trees. See also Czech Mate for Trout.

Variations

Vary the body color to match available trout food. The Flashy Czech performs in almost any color that would be appropriate for scuds or caddis larvae—gray, tan, olive, and pink are all appropriate.

How to Fish

Use tight line nymphing tactics. Use this fly as a dropper off a larger Pupatator or salmonfly nymph.
