Variations

The body, tail, and hackle colors can be endlessly twiddled with. Common combinations: orange hackle, body, tail; orange hackle, orange body, black tail; orange and yellow hackle (one of each), orange body, orange and yellow tail.

How to Fish

Traditional wet-fly swing or use with an indicator rig and dead drift the fly near the bottom. Or combine the two tactics and dead drift the fly upstream from you, then let it swing at the end of the drift.
